摘要：Wood is one of the useful and luxury material in all kind of construction. Here I would like to show in Khmer architecture, the used of the wood that we can see some evidence since Angkor Period till now. For Khmer vernacular architecture, wooden dwelling present everywhere in suburban and especially in provinces. The religious building is also present in late 19 centuries till now.

Facing rapid development, and with the new construction material that can provided a fast speed of construction, the traditional wooden houses will disappear little by little.

Protect the wood is not only protected the traditional houses, technique of construction or wood decoration, but we also save the environment, landscape for sustainable development in each country.
